There's a group of birds out there distinguished by and named for their characteristic flat bill or beak. Literally, they have bills with a perfectly flat design standing out horizontal to the sky. There's one particular flat bill we love who resides in Florida and in Central America (The Roseated SpoonBill) that literally uses the flat bill to soup it up.
